you know the secrets I could never tell

when I'm quiet you break through my shell
» • »appearance , Breezestar is a light gray female cat with fur that is so light, that it is almost a whitish silver color. Her fur is often described as the color of the moon. If seen at night, her pelt seems to glow in the dark, giving her a huge disadvantage for hunting in the dark. Her pelt also has some stray tabby marks along her tail and up around her ears, the color of dark black ebony. Her paws are white and this color extends up her legs a bit, but most of her body is the light gray color.
Breezestar eyes are a pale blue, so pale that they are not easily distinguished from a silver color. They have a very eerie appearance, especially if seen at night. In addition to the eerie vibe her eyes give off, they are also very hard and show a certain mirror-like quality that makes it impossible for any cat to tell what she is thinking or feeling just by looking into her eyes.
Breezestar is also a very lithe and agile cat. She is pretty skinny, but not too thin to the point where she is thought of as unhealthy and underfed. She has very well-toned muscles from her tough moons of training as a warrior and an apprentice. Her ears are slightly large for her head and tail is very long compared to other cats' tails, making her very good at balancing herself on many surfaces. Overall, she is not the best looking cat, but has many attributes that make her a successful warrior and leader of WindClan.
don't feel the need to do a rebel yell
» • »personality , First of all, I would like to say that Breezestar is oh-so-motherly, brave, loyal, and all those things. Sounds steriotypical, eh? Not quite. Snappy and sharp-tongued, Breezestar always seems to be hard and stony-faced, but she isn't. In fact, she's far from that. Instead, she is motherly...in a snappy, fierce kind of way. However, she lives and breathes for WindClan, and would never think of doing anything to hurt it. She is very practical and thinks about every movement her Clan makes before she makes it. She always tries to do the best for her Clan, and hopes her judgement is never clouded by anything. She has an extra soft spot for kits, and sometimes wishes she could have her own someday, but she knows her duty is to be the leader of WindClan and that she would never leave it. Breezestar is very dedicated, in the way that she goes to sleep the latest and wakes up the earliest. She is always trying to do something to improve her Clan, always busy, never just lying around and sunbathing.
She is very easily angered. A slight mistake can get her angry sometimes. She tries to stifle this instinct, but sometimes it just flairs out. Her blue eyes get wide and hot, and her fur bristles. She actually looks quite scary, and, in fact, you should be scared. When Breezestar is angry, she's really angry. Her usual sharp, motherly voice is replaced by a dangerously soft ones, and she gets this glint in her eyes, too. You might see clawmarks on trees, well, that's because when Breezestar is angry, she claws trees. It's the one thing that she can claw all she want, and vent on. Once she comes back, she is perfectly normal again. Her punishments for cats who break the warrior code are very severe, as she expects her CLan to know the warrior code and respect it as well as she does.
And, well, the fact is, Breezestar, she doesn't trust people here and there. She never puts the weight of her trust on anyone's paws but her own, and for a good reason, which is pointed out in her history. Anyway, if you are not part the Clan, you basically have absolutely no chance of making friends with her. She guards her Clan with her life, and if a strange cat shows up, she will immediately take care of it, whether it is a hostile rogue or a lost kittypet. Cats in her Clan have bigger chance of becoming friends with her; she is actually great friends with her deputy, and trusts her deputy to little extent, actually; she prefers to do all the things she has on her mind by herself.
Just because Breezestar is very responsible, and likes to do things herself, it does not mean that she doesn't like socializing. At some times of day, and it isn't a schedule, she likes being alone in solitude, without anyone or her Clan bothering her. It is in these times that she is most snappy, irritable, and cold. However, you know that she is just having a moody time, she really cares for every cat in WindClan. At other times of day, she loves socializing; she can be very talkative, yet she is still very sharp and motherly. She takes time each day to chat with the cats of her Clan and share news; it makes her less tense to see her Clan talking and having fun together.
'cause you keep my feet on the ground
» • »history , Her history is not something she enjoys talking about very much, mostly because everything in it went horribly wrong. Still, I squeezed it out of her, so here it is:
beFORE: Everyone needs that little before to tell the tale. Her parents were Darky and Mist, two loners. Darky was a fine man, but Mist was the type of cat who flirted with the boys, then dumped them and sent them on their way to loner heaven, broken. But when she met Darky, it was love at first sight, and from then on, she knew she couldn't dump the poor kitty. So they spent their days together until fine, muscled Darky summoned enough to courage to up and say, so, wanna mate? he said it in a casual voice, as if he were talking about the weather outside and not a serious matter like family. but Misty replied in that same, cool voice Sure. And Darky was disappointed? Sure? Not 'Great!', not 'I've been waiting for this moment!', not 'I loved you from the moment I saw you!'? So Misty had kittens. But you know what went horribly wrong? The birth. And she died, and the kits were still there in her belly, all but one. Heatherstar. But her father named her Unlucky and abandoned her.
kitHOOD: When Unlucky was found by ThunderClan, she was mistreated and teased and segregated. A horrid queen name Toadpelt was the only queen in the nursery. She wanted to name her Deadkit, because she was found with her mother dead beside her, but the Clan insisted on naming her Breezekit, so Toadpelt grudgingly agreed. But, the minute she was weaned, Toadpelt kicked her out the nursery door and forbid her to come back. You see, Toadpelt was a very hateful queen. She never wanted kits, they just came. But she did have that maternal instinct, only for her kits. So she didn't kick the rest of her kits out, only Heatherkit. And that was how Breezekit learned. She watched and watched and watched all day, and learned the secrets, the strengths, the weaknesses of the Clan. She was like a warrior kit. She taught herself how to fight by watching the other apprentices learn from their mentors. It was then that Breezekit decided to become a medicine cat. So she went over to the medicine cat's den. She was trying to help sort herbs, but then she spilled everything and the medicine cat yelled at her. Trembling with anger, Breezekit decided that she was going to be a warrior.
apprenticeSHIP: The leader, Dovestar, made sure he gave her the friendliest mentor the Clan could afford. She had had many hardships in her kithood and Dovestar was scared that Breezepaw would become traitorous and cold because of this. However, Breezepaw stayed her warm self, and her mentor was Blackstripe, the deputy. The two cats were perfect together. They had the same joking, warm, but loyal personality. They had great fun. Blackstripe was still a young warrior and she adored her apprentice. Blackstripe was the closest thing Breezestar ever had to being a mother. She was even protective over her, but it was all shattered when an epidemic of blackcough hit the camp. Both Blackstripe and Heatherpaw got sick. Luckily, Breezepaw survived, but Blackstipe didn't. The new deputy, Shadowwing, took over Breezepaw's training. Heatherpaw became very quiet. Suddenly, ShadowClan attacked, and Breezepaw became a warrior.
warriorHOOD: Breezepaw became Breezewhisper. And that night, Breezewhisper looked up at the stars and wondered which star was Blackstripe, twinkling in the night sky. And then she saw a star with a cloudy black whisp across it. Any logical solution would've been "there's just a little whisp of cloud across the star", but Breezewhisper refused to think that way. She was sure it was Blackstripe. And so when Breezewhisper's silent vigil was finished, she was a happy camper. Everyone wondered why Breezewhisper's spirits had suddenly been lifted, but, what can I say? She's a warm person. But, the poor girl had her eye on a specific tom. His name was Redstreak, and she was sure he liked her, also. The problem was, she was too shy to admit it. So Redstreak had to walk up to her and admit his love, and Breezewhisper admitted hers, and the next thing she knows, she's pregnant in the nursery. She stayed there for many days, and had two kits. Their names were Brackenkit and Thornkit. They were both toms, but Thornkit was born dead. So Breezewhisper raised Brackenkit.
Her apprentice was Brackenkit, now Brackenpaw, because the Clan had had an especial spring of kits that year and they were running low on warriors. Brackenpaw was a serious tom, and they got along just as she and Blackstripe had. Brackenpaw was just as warm-hearted and kind as Heathernose, but he was very serious, a trait from Redstreak. So the two trained, and then Breezewhisper alerted Dovestar that Brackenpaw was ready to become a warrior. Brackenpaw was very thrilled, and recieved the name 'Brackenstripe', for his golden tabby fur, just like Breezewhisper's. Breezewhisper was very proud of her sun and is sure she will never forget that day.
The next year, she and Redstreak mated again. This time, she had three kits: Sagekit, a tom, Dogkit, a tom, and Ripplekit, a she-cat. Dogkit died soon after because he had a serious cough when he was born. However, the deputy, Shadowwing, announced that she would retire in two days. Heathernose possessed a certain ambition that told her that she could become the deputy. She just had to get rid of the kits. But she still had those maternal instincts, so she talked to Redstreak about it, and they both decided on one with. That night, Heathernose stole out of the camp with Sagekit and Ripplekit. She ran swiftly to Twolegplace and dropped them in the nearest Twoleg garden. She gathered some moss and hustled them near a bush for warmth. She licked them clean. Then, she left, almost crying. SHe made a hole in the nursery wall and pretended to be surprised the next morning. And the next morning, she let all her sadness out, she was wailing to the skies. And guess what? She was picked.
deputySHIP: At first, Redstreak was a little bit arrogant to her. He said he should have been picked, he was the male, he was stronger, he wasn't weakened by kits. But then Heathernose played a trick on him, and put him in his place. They were friends, but one thing was sure: they were never going to mate again. When Breezewhisper was deputy, people really noticed her. They noticed her beauty and her warmth. Several times, she was asked to mate, but she turned them all down. Now, her determined side showed. She was determined to help her Clan, and she would not sleep until she was sure her Clan was well for the night and in the morning, and a thousand years later. But then, you see, a terrible thing happened. Dovestar lost her last life in a badger attack. She was out hunting alone, when a badger appeared and attacked her. The medicine cat forced Breezewhisper to dragged her tired paws to the Moonpool, to become a leader.
leaderSHIP: Breezewhisper dipped her nose in the pool. She recieved her nine lives and her name, 'Breezestar'. She went back to her Clan as a hero. She has been doing well controlling her Clan ever since.
talk with me now and into the night
» • »rp sample , [from another site on which the character was Breezewhisper, the deputy of WindClan]
Breezewhisper got up from her soft, mossy nest in the middle of the warriors' den in WindClan camp and stretched her limbs, after taking a refreshing nap after the dawn patrol. It wasn't a thing that happened very often that she got to take a nap after her daily patrol, but today she had been lucky and Robinstar had told her to get some rest. She guessed that she had looked tired to her leader. Her eyes were met with fierce sunlight coming from the sky as she stepped out into the camp clearing. Yawning, she padded over to the fresh kill pile to pick out a piece of prey. She quickly swiped up a plump rabbit and took it over to a sunny spot in the clearing to eat it.
Munching on her rabbit, she realized that it was almost sunhigh and she really needed to get ready to organize the sunhigh patrol. Looking around, there were many warriors and apprentices about that she could choose some, although some were still sleeping in their dens. She decided that she would take a few warriors and one or two apprentices. They needed to look out for signs of other Clans on their territory, so she needed to have some strong warriors in case a fight broke out, but it would also be a very good experience for the apprentices.
She finished off her freshkill and glanced back at the pile. It was slightly empty, with only couple of pieces of prey left, a mouse and a starling, now that she had taken the rabbit. We'll hunt a bit on the patrol, too, I guess... she thought to herself as she padded back to the warriors den to pick the cats that she wanted to go on the patrol with her. While eating her prey, she had decided on sending Brightflash, her apprentice, Fangpaw, and Darkdream, a black, sturdy she-cat that she knew she could count on.
